Ziska Riman´s “Lollipop Monster” received two bavarian film awards. Hannes Hubach for his camera work and actress Jella Hesse received an award for best newcomer for her work in “Lollipop Monster” and “Kriegerin”.
“Lollipop Monster” also made it on the long-list for the German Film Awards. - Permalink

- Perfume revisited - Foley and sound design Making-Of now online

After a long time finally the Foley and sound design making-of of “Perfume – Story of a Murderer” is now online. It´s in German (no sub titles) but even if you don´t speak German I think it´s still quite interesting. Split-screens of Foley studio and film give a nice illustration of the whole foley process.
Thanks to editor Markus Schmidt, DP Sebastian Winkels and Fritz Sammer for their outstanding support. Many sections were shot on 35mm!! (Maybe the only making-of ever filmed in 35mm?)

- "Drei" (Three) not only nominated for best sound design 2011!

Today Drei was nominated in the following categories for the German film awards:
- Best sound design (shared with re-recording mixer Matthias Lempert and production sound mixer Arno Wilms)
- Best music
- Best leading actress
- Best editing
- Best directing
- Best film

Angela Schanelecs Film “Orly” startet morgen in den deutschen Kinos. Die Süddeutsche Zeitung schreibt unter anderem:
“Orly” löst Einzelne – inhaltlich, optisch und akustisch – aus der Totale des Flughafens heraus und stellt sie in den Fokus der Geschichte – allein die Tonmischung ist eine Herkules- und Meisterleistung. Aus dem Jazz der Menge rücken Stimmen in den Vordergrund, das richtige Verhältnis von Distanz und Nähe herzustellen ist, wie immer eigentlich, die große Kunst.
